Halo

Bald Rock

A big boulder, the biggest on southern hemisphere. It's not as famous as Uluru, maybe because of its' (lack of) colour or it's not clearly visible in the middle of plains? Anyway, there's two trails leading to the summit: A direct one, with bare rock slopes (30% raise) without any steps or other help, or twice as long indirect route.

Ceder pines are groving near the top, on a thin soil that has accumulated there during the long years since the time begun. I wonder what would happen if someone would drag a sack of fertilizer up there...

The long trail up went over, under and between big boulders in some places. And there were some boulders just next to the edge, just waiting to be pushed a little...

I vandalized a little one rest place, leaving my mark there. Then again, the placement of these sheds are sometimes a crime against general aestichics... Its just a bluff on background, not the Bald Rock!
