Between Albany and Denmark there's a museum about whaling, made out of old whaling station. This were the place where they tugged the carcasses, ripped the fat from the bodies, then cut the remains into size that could be processed further.
The size of a blue whale is just immense. Even a sperm whale looks tiny compared just to the jaws of a blue...

Interesting stuff - head saw. Hrrm. Sounds bloody job.
37 degrees celcius means that you probably are moving all the time. Just sitting still makes you thirsty. Or what?
Whaling gave a new meaning to the frase "dirty deeds(done dirt cheap)".. When they were cutting the whales on the dock, there was several dead whales floating nearby, waiting for their turn to be processed. The blood was washed into sea, so that attracted sharks. With blood and whale carcasses floating around, sharks had such feeding frenzy, that they really bloated themselves. Well, the whalers werent too happy about it, so sometimes they took the boat and shot the biggest sharks, brought them to the shore and cut the valuable whale fat out of shark's stomach.
I solved the heat problem by moving a bench under a tree, reading a book and drinking water, non-stop. All the sweat just evaporates away from your skin, instantly on this dry heat. A glass of cold wine helped too...
