Kaikoura's backdrop mountains and black beach are quite impressive, even in the winter. They just rise straight out of the water and rise so very high.

Now you know why it is a special place to be for me. Did you found the traditional tattoo shop?
I think I went past it, but didn't have a look. On the way back, I could though. But Im not buying anything :)
