Around Tasman Bay

Weather turned me back from Takaka hills, so instead I had a look whats nearby. It appears that the One Ring was on display, among other curiosities!

Ohau!

Some lazy b-s lazing in the sun, only that sun was and was not here today - if you don't like the weather, just wait few minutes!

Kaikoura's backdrop mountains and black beach are quite impressive, even in the winter. They just rise straight out of the water and rise so very high.

Hanmer Springs

Cold rain requires hot bath for balance! This is the NZ place for hot springs etc. so why not stop and enjoy?

Polarizing filter has a profound effect on rainbows - something I didn't know until now.

Lake Rotoroa

Pancake rocks, north of Greymouth re one of the yet to be explained nature's wonders. As the weather began to foul on the south, I headed towards Nelson, but only made it to Lake Rotoroa. Very pretty, with Mt. Misery as a backdrop...

Arthur's pass

I'm a little confused - just a few hours' ride, and you're on the other shore! No complaints of the scenery from my side ;-)

Somehow the yellow bike fits nicely along the colors !

New Zealand

Well. It's winter time and after two big earthquakes in Christchurch, therefore not so cheery athmosphere... Actually this place could be Norway's southern cousin?
